2nd LTTA, Joint Staff Training Event, “Intercultural Issues in Transnational Projects”, 01-05 May 2017, Plymouth, UK
The SPREAD project foresees the organisation of six Joint Staff Training Events throughout the 24 months of the project. The first of these was organised by Euroyouth in Lisbon, Portugal in March 2017. This was followed by the second training event which addressed Intercultural Issues in Transnational Projects and was hosted by EUROPA Training, Plymouth, UK in May 2017.
The main aim of this training was to promote and strengthen the importance of intercultural competences in European projects; to provide information and resources with learning materials and best practices on intercultural differences and misunderstandings, to get a great depth of understanding of successful mobility and to prevent obstacles.
Representatives from all partner countries were present during the training during which the topics covered included: Trainees Needs; Cultural Theories; Host Country Culture and Shock Culture; Intercultural Communication; and Conflict Management.
The next Joint Staff Training Event will be organised by the Austrian partner, 3S, in Vienna between the 24 th and 28th July 2017 and will address ECVET methodology and the validation and recognition of competences.
